These have been SOOO much fun to be a part of. Sara Benincasa not only does an amazing Palin, but she busts ass and edits these puppies. As a result of her hard work the vlogs have been featured in Wired, Newsweek, Time, and aired on CNN (we love you Wolf Blitzer). I'm still holding out hope that Rachel Maddow will ask us to be on her show so that she can ask me to run away with her. Sam said he was okay with that.

What happens when two couples get together, eat Ethiopian food, and talk shit about McCain's VP, Sarah Palin? MAGIC. This is just a teaser of more to come. Sara Benincasa and I, aided by our domestic partners Sam and Ces, shot probably an hour and a half of this shit, improving pure MAGIC.
Having babies can sometimes keep personal problems at bay.
"[It] keeps you busy — if not through adoption, than in pregnancy, you get the oxytocin [often called the 'hormone of love'] bursts," said Honos-Webb. "You get attention from other people and you define your own role — all those things manage depression."
Often subclinical depression is not obvious to the person, according to Honos-Webb. "It's difficult to admit those feelings, especially if you have a healthy child and every reason to be happy."
Having children to find happiness is a "recipe for a mental health disaster," according to Honos-Webb, who coins the phenomenon a "Mother Theresa complex." The result can be a failure to attach emotionally, causing eating disorders and depression in the children.
"There is such an imbalance to give and not to take," she said. "On the one hand, Mother Theresa was a saint, but on the other hand, it was a perfect formula for major depression."
A Manhattan personal assistant has told investigators that she fatally bludgeoned her boss, the well-connected real estate agent Linda Stein, in the woman’s opulent Fifth Avenue apartment because Ms. Stein swore at her, waved a stick at her and blew marijuana smoke into her face, the police said today.
I have to say, having been an assistant to many an asshole, I can empathize with the desire to beat the living hell out of your employer/tormentor. But, then another part of me is thinking, "your boss blew some herb your way?! I should be so lucky!"
Ultimately, if what Natavia Lowery says is true, and she was struck by Ms. Stein "six or seven times on Oct. 30 with a four-pound exercise stick" then I think my own personal jury will no longer be out on this one.
Someone should tell Ms. Lowery to make sure she isn't cracking a damn smile in public again until her trial is over, though.
